AIBE XX Results Declared: 69.21% Candidates Clear Bar Exam

The Bar Council of India has announced that 69.21% candidates have cleared the All India Bar Examination XX (AIBE XX). The exam results for AIBE XX, which was held in November 2025, has been declared.

A total of 2,51,968 law graduates appeared for the exam, out of which 1,74,386 candidates have successfully qualified. According to the BCI, the OMR sheets of three candidates were not received, and therefore, their results were not included.

The examination was conducted on 30 November 2025 across 399 centres nationwide.

Changes in Question Paper Evaluation

An expert Monitoring Committee reviewed objections raised by candidates. Based on this review:

  • 5 questions were withdrawn out of the original 100 questions.
  • For 2 questions with two correct options, full marks were given to candidates who chose either option.
  • As a result, the final evaluation was done out of 95 marks instead of 100.

Qualifying Marks

  • General & OBC candidates: 43 marks (45% of 95)
  • SC/ST/PwD candidates: 38 marks

The Monitoring Committee was headed by former Supreme Court judge Hima Kohli and included senior academicians from leading National Law Universities.


AIBE XXI: Important Dates Announced

The BCI has also confirmed that AIBE XXI will be conducted on 7 June 2026.

  • Last date to register: 30 April 2026
  • Last date to pay fee: 1 May 2026
  • Last date to edit application: 3 May 2026
  • Admit card release: 22 May 2026
