Centre Notifies Appointment of Anshul Raj as Judge of Patna High Court
The Central Government has officially notified the appointment of senior advocate Anshul Raj as a judge of the Patna High Court.
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal shared the announcement on X, stating that the President of India made the appointment after consulting the Chief Justice of India, as required under the Constitution.
It is worth noting that in February 2025, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the names of five advocates for elevation as judges of the Patna High Court. With this notification, Anshul Raj becomes the fifth advocate from that list to be appointed, as the other four had already taken oath earlier.
