Supreme Court Collegium Recommends 9 Advocates for Appointment as Calcutta High Court Judges

The Supreme Court Collegium has approved the appointment of nine advocates as judges of the Calcutta High Court in resolutions passed during meetings held on May 11 and 12, 2026.

The advocates recommended for elevation are:

• Indranil Roy
• Aryak Dutt
• Atarup Banerjee
• Sandip Kumar De
• Partha Pratim Roy
• Sudip Deb
• Anuj Singh
• Arjun Ray Mukherjee
• Rishad Medora

The recommendations were made by the Collegium of the Supreme Court of India as part of the ongoing process to fill judicial vacancies in High Courts across the country.
