Centre Appoints Three New Additional Solicitors General for Supreme Court

The Central Government has appointed three Senior Advocates as Additional Solicitors General (ASGs) to represent the Union of India before the Supreme Court of India.

The appointments were notified on December 22 by the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. Each appointment will be valid for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

The advocates appointed as ASGs are Devinder Pal Singh, Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar, and Anil Kaushik.

Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar earlier served as a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from 2018 to 2024, representing the Telugu Desam Party. Devinder Pal Singh has previously held the position of Additional Advocate General for the States of Punjab and Haryana.
