Collegium Recommends Two Advocates as Judges of Himachal Pradesh High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of two senior advocates as judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

In a meeting held on September 15, the Collegium approved the names of Advocate Jiya Lal Bhardwaj and Advocate Romesh Verma for elevation.

Currently, the Himachal Pradesh High Court is functioning with only 11 judges, while its sanctioned strength is 17. The appointments, once cleared, will help fill this gap.
