Supreme Court Collegium Clears Names of 3 Judicial Officers for Karnataka High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the elevation of three judicial officers as judges of the Karnataka High Court.

The decision was taken during a meeting held on September 15. The three district judges chosen for appointment are:

  1. Geetha Kadaba Bharatharaja Setty
  2. Muralidhara Pai Borkatte
  3. Tyagaraja Narayan Inavally

In addition, the Collegium has recommended that Justice Kurubarahalli Venkataramareddy Aravind, who is currently serving as an additional judge, be made a permanent judge of the Karnataka High Court.

At present, the High Court is functioning with 46 judges, against its sanctioned strength of 62.
