Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Two Judicial Officers for Punjab and Haryana High Court
The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of two judicial officers as judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
As per a statement released by the Supreme Court, the decision was taken during a Collegium meeting held on December 16. The names recommended for elevation are Ramesh Chander Dimri and Neerja Kulwant Kalson, both serving judicial officers.
At present, the Punjab and Haryana High Court is functioning with 59 judges, even though its sanctioned strength is 85, highlighting a significant shortage of judges.
