Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Vinai Kumar Dwivedi for Allahabad High Court Judgeship
The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of Judicial Officer Vinai Kumar Dwivedi as a judge of the Allahabad High Court.
In a statement published on its official website, the Collegium said that during its meeting held on October 6, 2025, it approved the proposal to appoint Shri Dwivedi to the Allahabad High Court bench.
This recommendation comes soon after the Central government cleared the appointment of 24 new judges to the same High Court.
At present, the Allahabad High Court has 107 judges, which is well below its sanctioned strength of 160, highlighting the need for fresh appointments to fill the existing vacancies.
